the
If vessels are manned with souls they can move.
A vessel that has no souls in it cannot move: it is a ghost ship.

She must pass her turn and wait to be replenished.
Vessels can move port, ahead or starboard.
Vessels cannot move backwards or do sharp turns.
Vessels cannot move into an occupied position.
Vessels cannot move against the wind, meaning they cannot sail directly into the direction from where the wind is blowing.

Vessels may drift with the wind before or after their sailing move.
For example, they can move starboard and then drift in the direction of the wind or drift first and then move starboard.
The drift must always be in the direction of the wind. It is not mandatory to drift.
