Vessel moves ahead into parallel position and broadsides.
If a vessel gets 3 souls aboard it has cannons, meaning if it moves into a parallel position to an enemy vessel it can sink it by dropping it down the central hole (oubliette).
Man o' War
A man o' war has the closest cannon range.
If a Galleon has 6 souls aboard it becomes a man o' war: not only can it shoot at normal range but can also shoot at a closer range as shown in the gif image above and the diagram below.
